Mubarak Mugabo

AfIBR Founding Fellow

Mubarak Mugabo is a Founding Fellow at the African Institute for Belt and Road (AfIBR).

He is an International Law expert, Researcher, and Journalist.

He worked with Uganda's New Vision, China Radio International (CRI) before joining China Global Television Network (CGTN) as a special commentator, Researcher and Producer.

A graduate of Laws (International Relations) from the prestigious Peking University (PKU), Mubarak is also a Dongfang Scholar from PKU.

He is a Fellow at China International Press Communication Center (CIPPC) and an alumnus of Renmin University of China.

Mubarak is a two-time Silk Road Global News Award (SRGNA) winner for 2023 and 2025.
